Descriptioncis-4-Hydroxycyclohexylacetic acid, also known as 4-hydroxy-cyclohexylessigsaeure, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as cyclohexanols. Cyclohexanols are compounds containing an alcohol group attached to a cyclohexane ring. cis-4-Hydroxycyclohexylacetic acid, with regard to humans, has been found to be associated with the diseases such as colorectal cancer; cis-4-hydroxycyclohexylacetic acid has also been linked to the inborn metabolic disorder hawkinsinuria. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on cis-4-Hydroxycyclohexylacetic acid.
