DescriptionOrotidine, also known as 6-carboxyuridine, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as pyrimidine nucleosides. Pyrimidine nucleosides are compounds comprising a pyrimidine base attached to a ribosyl or deoxyribosyl moiety. Orotidine, with regard to humans, has been found to be associated with the diseases such as uremia; orotidine has also been linked to the inborn metabolic disorder orotic aciduria I. Based on a literature review a significant number of articles have been published on Orotidine.
